PA Promise for Children: Pennsylvania’s Promise for Children is a campaign to raise awareness about the importance of providing Pennsylvania’s young children with access to quality early learning opportunities. There are tons of great resources on the PA Promise for Children website including how to choose a quality early program, why early learning matters, learning activities to do with your child and family events in Erie County.

Keystone STARS: Keystone STARS is a continuous quality improvement program for early learning programs in Pennsylvania. The standards are grouped into four levels; STAR 1, STAR 2, STAR 3 and STAR 4.

Each STAR level builds on the previous level and utilizes research-based best practices to promote quality early learning environments and positive child
outcomes.  The standards address staff qualifications and professional development, the early learning program, partnerships with family and community, and leadership and management. Little Acorns Learning Center is currently a STAR 4 working towards our accreditation from the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).
