Working with children is rewarding, but our teachers need time to play too!  Team building/professional development days are held 4 days per year where we participate in training workshops to build our Mary Poppins’ bags and take time to connect through activities such as: 

• Axe Throwing
• Water Gun Fights
• Escape Room
• Port Farms Pumpkin Farm Play Day
• Children’s Museum Exploration Day

As teachers, we provide opportunities for our children to learn and grow. Little Acorns Learning Center believes our teachers deserve the same opportunities. We provide paid opportunities to participate in workshops and pursue further collegiate level education in Early Childhood Education. Through our funding sources, our teachers can complete their Associate’s or Bachelor’s degrees in Early Childhood Education for litle to no cost!

Our full-time teachers received paid holidays to enjoy this time with their loved ones.

Our teachers have the opportunity to earn 15-minute tickets or gift cards for their shout outs!

At Little Acorns Learning Center, we recognize that life has demands outside of working hours. All teachers earn paid time off for their personal needs. 

We also offer “15 minute tickets” when teachers are raved from families, visitors, and colleagues. These tickets are used as extra vacation time when needing to leave early or come in late for a personal need.

Full-time staff receive a 50% discount off of child care services at our facility. We have found it be difficult for our littles to be enrolled in the classroom of their parent therefore, we do not allow teachers and their children in the same classroom.

Your birthday and your mental health are important! We provide your birthday as a paid day off to use within the year when you would like to celebrate you!

A paid day off for mental health is provided at Christmas to use within the year when you would like to schedule a day to not “adult”.

Aflac offers a variety of insurance options from short-term disability to cancer protection and well-ness benefits. Life insurance is also available.

Little Acorns Learning Center will pay up to $25/month toward the policies of your choice.

Jury duty is a civic responsbility that we encourage our teachers to participate in.

Little Acorns Learning Center will provide paid days of leave to serve as a juror.
